How to place a pre-order
If a handpan is not in stock, you can place your pre-order
directly on the product page. Simply add the handpan to
your cart and complete the checkout.
Pre-ordering reserves your handpan
Pre-ordering is the best way to secure your handpan. The
expected shipping date shown on the product page when you
place your order is the date we expect to ship your
handpan.
The expected shipping date
This is not a general back-in-stock date. It is the
expected shipping date for new orders placed at that
moment. Because some handpans receive a high number of
pre-orders, newly finished instruments may already be
reserved before they become available for immediate
shipment. This means the expected shipping date can move
further out as more pre-orders are placed.
The back-in-stock email is only a notification
Joining the back-in-stock list lets you know when the
handpan becomes available for immediate shipment again.
It does not reserve an instrument. Depending on demand,
this may take several weeks or months. In some cases, the
handpan may remain available only for pre-order for an
extended period.

Although our handpans are handcrafted in our workshop in Bali, retuning and aftercare are handled much closer to home. If your handpan ever needs retuning, the retuning support is done by our team in the Netherlands.
2-year tuning guarantee
All LIDAH handpans include a 2-year tuning guarantee with normal use. We are confident that your instrument can be enjoyed for many years without needing a retune, but if you are not happy with the tuning within the first 2 years, we will retune your handpan free of charge.
Lifelong tuning support
Even after the 2-year guarantee period, you are always welcome to contact us for help. We offer lifelong retuning support for LIDAH handpans. In most cases, we can retune your handpan in the Netherlands within a couple of weeks, after which we can ship it back to you. If you visit our showroom it can sometimes be retuned the same day!
When needed, we can also help connect you with trusted tuning partners worldwide, so you are never left alone if your instrument needs care in the future.

The Pro Series is best suited for players who want the widest melodic range and the most room for musical exploration. With 16 to 21 notes, it offers far more possibilities for layered playing, expanded scales, and more complex compositions.
For most complete beginners, a Mini or Essential Series Handpan is usually the easier place to start. But if you already know you want maximum range and creative freedom, the Pro Series is a beautiful choice!
The most important thing is to choose the scale that moves you the most. The sound you feel most connected to is usually the right place to start. Some scales sound deeper and more grounding, while others feel more mystical, bright, or emotional. If you are unsure, it is often best to begin with one of the more intuitive and versatile scales, but in the end, your personal connection to the sound matters most.
Our handpans are built to last. With normal use, they stay perfectly in tune for 3–7+ years before needing any retuning. If a note ever drifts, simply contact us and we’ll retune it for you.
Every instrument comes with a 2-year tuning warranty: if anything happens during normal use, we’ll fix it free of charge. Even after the warranty, you can always send it back for retuning at a fair price. This way, you can buy with complete peace of mind.
